Welcome to our Random Acts October newsletter. This month, we have updates on our supporters’ random acts of kindness, women farmers in Rwanda, and our Food Equity Project. And we invite you to go out and #GetKind, spreading your own spark of kindness in the world.
Project Updates: Food Equity and Class Act
Land for Women: Training for New Knowledge
Random Acts is supporting Land for Women, a nonprofit that helps women’s agricultural cooperatives in Rwanda. Their new program will provide these women with practical knowledge about agriculture and farming.
Nature’s Design: Planting Wishes for a Local Garden
Before the pandemic, 462 Halsey Community Garden was part of Random Acts’ Kathryn Roach’s routine. Now, she decided to help this fantastic organization out as part of our Food Equity program.
A Random Retrospective
“Your acts of kindness are iridescent wings of divine love, which linger and continue to uplift others long after your sharing.” – Rumi
There are so many ways to actively create better tomorrows, but none will happen without belief, hope, inspiration – without the will to fight for those better tomorrows.
One of the hopes for this Random Acts community is that we can be a source of hope, support, and inspiration; a space wherein we can turn to one another to help recharge our spirits. My spirit is certainly lifted every day when I witness you all (staff and supporters) being that needed support and inspiration for each other. Reminding one another with word and deed that you are not alone in knowing that a kinder existence is worth fighting for.
