Welcome all to our Random Acts July Newsletter.
There is a certain kind of strength, a revolutionary spirit, which I see in Random
Acts staff and supporters each day. A willingness to break with the false notion
that this world is simply cruel and unjust. A will to fight with all they (all you) have
to create a kinder more supportive, more loving, more just world.
Fighting against the tide of the everyday, which too often leads us through
exhaustion and attrition, to fall into a trance wherein we do not treat each other
with the dignity, love, or support needed. This group of wonderful rebels stands
against that pull and says, “Whether through action large or small, I will create
something better. This person, these people who are before me will walk away
knowing this world can be a kind, caring, and just place”.
Sometimes kindness is mistaken for weakness; sometimes it is taken for
granted, but we at Random Acts know the opposite is true. Maintaining a kind
spirit takes great strength, and treating each other with kindness is one of the
most important things one can do. By celebrating you and your revolutionary
spirit every day, you bring great hope.
