Welcome all to our Random Acts February Newsletter,
“Our ability to reach unity in diversity will be the beauty and the test of our civilization.”
― Mahatma Gandhi
I think this is certainly the beauty and the test of whether we are being true to our purpose in this Random Acts family. Listening, learning, being receptive to the diversity of needs our fellow humans have is absolutely fundamental to our ability to be kind. To be truly of help to another, first we must really see, listen to, and acknowledge the unique individual we are connecting with.
To me the real joy and beauty of Random Acts, what makes working with this group so uplifting, is the uniqueness of each of the 147 individuals on this staff and the thousands of people we are lucky enough to learn from and work with throughout our days.
– Rachel Miner, Executive Director
