Hello,
I wish to welcome you to our newly birthed Random Acts newsletter.
I’ve realized that one funny consequence of having this squadron of people
throughout the globe in search of ways to do good is that so much transpires
daily, few actually get to know of all that we do. So we’re going to better share
these stories, with the intention that perhaps they will inspire you, and lift your
spirits, as they certainly do ours.
The hope: that whether part of this motley crew of kindness warriors or simply
curious about what it is that we do, these monthly updates will help you to feel a
part of this movement, this endeavor toward a kinder world.
The goal: that by the end of this newsletter perhaps we’ve given you a glimpse
of this world, too often dark, difficult, and riddled with injustice, as one which can
also be bright, generous, and filled with hope.
The truest thing I can share is how incredibly proud I am of the staff and
community members who together make Random Acts all that it is. I would love
it if getting to know us, all that we do, all that we stand for, all that we are
fighting for every day, brings at least some of the joy to your life that it brings to
mine.
Seems to me we’ve managed to dream up a theoretical piece of the world
wherein good wins, altruism rules, the heart triumphs, and one needs nothing
more than a will to make the world better for all, now our aim is merely to share
that in whatever ways we can.
With wishes that this ever-expanding effort to bring some kindness into others
lives does in fact grow ever larger. and that the world is never the same, for it
has been conquered one act of kindness at a time,
Always,
Rachel Miner, Executive Director
