During these challenging times, it’s important to look for the people trying to make a positive impact on others. In an act of remarkable kindness, actor Ruth Connell teamed up with Stands to benefit Random Acts with the specific purpose of helping those affected by COVID-19. Ruth’s sold out campaign of ‘Hello, Boys’ tote bags came at a time of great need, and we continue to be grateful to Ruth, especially as this is not the first time she has collaborated on fundraisers for Random Acts.
In addition to naming The Random Acts Support Program (COVID-19) as the benefiting charity from her recent Stands campaign, Ruth will also be donating 10% of proceeds from the personalized video messages on her website to Random Acts as well.
Passion for Kindness
With Ruth’s history of philanthropy, it comes as no surprise that she cares very deeply about what is happening in the world right now and is doing everything she can to help. Ruth spoke of this situation in her own words:
“There will be a deficit in many areas moving forwards. We all need to help hold each other through these programs, as well as supporting those people in our immediate sphere, like neighbors, friends and family members — from 6 feet away of course.”
“I am hearing of CEOs donating their fees to workers, insurance companies giving payment breaks… If there is a program that helps counterbalance a need for food, or clothing, or shelter, or monetary grants, I’m all for it — who wouldn’t be!”
“Random Acts always seems to find specific, practical and prodigious ways of helping. Ways not inhibited by borders or categories but inclusively, deliberately random, and therefore fabulous!”
