In November, Random Acts encouraged all of our supporters to take part in our annual Endure4Kindness (E4K) event and, as always, you blew us away with your creativity and kindness. Money raised during Endure4Kindness allows us to sponsor acts of kindness all around the world. This year, funds from E4K are also going towards fighting childhood hunger. Whether you challenged yourself with your own E4K activity, spread the word on social media, supported others with their E4K fundraising, or donated to The Bad Idea Tour, your participation is helping to make the world a better place. We love being able to share some of the ways that your hard work is helping to fight food insecurity. Next up: Germany!
Networking for Kids
Random Acts Communications Officer Bea Arbeiter reached out to the German Children Help Network to find out how we could help them provide food for the children they serve. It turns out that a donation of 45€ (or, about $51 USD) allows the German Children Help Network to provide healthy meals for one child for a whole month. Thanks to your hard work during E4K, Random Acts was able to sponsor one month of food for twenty kids!
Connecting Families in Need
Since teachers spend so much time with their students during the school year, they are often some of the first people to identify and try to address food insecurity for school-aged children. Bea wanted to make this process easier for local teachers by giving them vouchers for a nearby produce store. Endure4Kindness funds were used to buy five 100€ vouchers, which Bea distributed to primary school teachers. These vouchers will help feed students who may be facing food insecurity.
