We have loved celebrating the holiday season the past couple of weeks by thanking our friends. Your generosity and creativity are what make all of our sponsored acts of kindness and special kindness campaigns possible. Today, we are thanking California Pizza Kitchen and Alley Staples for working together to host fundraisers for Random Acts.
California Pizza Kitchen
California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) first opened in Beverly Hills, California, in 1985. Founders Rick Rosenfield and Larry Flax wanted to create pizzas with a Californian twist to join New York and Chicago style pizzas. CPK has since expanded to have more than 250 locations which are spread throughout 30 states. They have even gone abroad with locations in 11 different countries.
Raising Dough
CPK does more than make tasty pizza. They also focus on doing good in their community with fundraisers, in-kind donations, inspired acts, and the CPK Foundation. The CPK Foundation has donated more than 3 million dollars to different charitable organizations.
We learned about CPK’s fundraising program through Random Acts supporter Ally Staples. Ally did not stop at sharing the fundraiser option, though. She reached out to CPK and coordinated fundraisers for Random Acts with 10 different CPK locations in southern California. Way to go, Ally!
Making a Difference
We are so thankful for both California Pizza Kitchen and Ally Staples. Partnering with organizations like CPK helps us to fund acts of kindness all around the world. We could not make nearly as much kindness magic happen without your help. And there are so many ways to help, too! Whether you are spreading the word about Random Acts, donating, organizing a fundraiser, or carrying out acts of kindness in your community, we always appreciate your efforts to make the world a better place.
