At Random Acts, we believe that kindness is a verb. It is something you can demonstrate to others, a catalyst to lasting, positive change. So it seems more than fitting that Random Acts is partnering with the Born This Way Foundation for their 21 Days to Be Kind Campaign. The Born This Way Foundation was founded by Lady Gaga and her mother, Cynthia Germanotta, in 2012 with the goal of creating a “kinder and braver world”.
Cultivating Kindness
“Every year, the Born This Way Foundation hosts #BeKind21, also known as the 21 Days to Be Kind campaign. Inspired by the idea that habits are formed by repeating an activity for 21 consecutive days. #BeKind21 calls on participants to practice an act of kindness each day from September 1st to September 21st. Individuals are invited to take the pledge and share their experience on social media using the hashtag #BeKind21.”
A Lasting Impact Through Collaboration
Random Acts has been invited to join nearly 150 partners for this year’s campaign. “Culminating on the U.N. International Day of Peace, #BeKind21 invites schools and colleges to kick off the new school year by establishing kinder habits, and for corporate partners, nonprofit partners, and all other participants to head into the fall with a spirit of compassion and kindness across their organizations and in their communities.”
Random Acts is thrilled about this partnership, and we want to invite our supporters to join us in this endeavor. We believe that kindness will give rise to more kindness, so please share yours on social media. Tag us, and use the hashtag #BeKind21 so we can continue to inspire each other. Also, be sure to keep an eye out for our staff posting their own acts of kindness. With a focus on the environment, they will be using the hashtag #GetKind. Let’s be that change we want to see in the world.
