Briona is not only an accomplished public speaker, entrepreneur, and activist. She is also passionate about Random Acts’ mission to spread kindness while getting people involved in their communities. As she told us, “I’m a big believer that people want to help. They just don’t know how.” Briona brings her eight years of experience working in nonprofits as well as her background in social work to Random Acts. She is the founder of Briona Jenkins Consulting and the subject of Uncomfortable Spaces, a documentary following a day in her life as an activist for the Black and LGBTQIA+ communities.
Briona is the Director of Development for the Austin Justice Coalition, which strives to improve the lives of people of color in Austin, Texas, through policy reform and engaging the wider community. She also hosts the podcast The Tea With Bri to bring listeners in-depth and vulnerable conversations to expand their perspectives of the world. When asked what she hopes to see from Random Acts in the next few years, Briona answered that she wants “…More people who look like me, or who are marginalized, to feel like they have a space at Random Acts.”
