Calling all fans of Sam, Dean, and that quirky trenchcoated angel! Random Acts is hitting the road and heading to Vancouver, BC. Random Acts Regional Representatives Jean and Rowan are spending Friday, October 19 through Sunday, October 21 at the Official Supernatural Convention at the Westin Bayshore. In between panels and photo ops, head over to the vendor room to see how you can #GetKind with us and our local partner organization, Atira Women’s Resource Society.
About Atira Women’s Resource Society
With values such as inclusive feminism, being women-centred, harm reduction, and innovation, Atira is a not-for-profit organization that provides direct resources for women affected by violence as well as working to educate and increase awareness of the impact of men’s violence against women and children in communities. As its official website explains, Atira’s vision is, “A world free of inequalities, where everyone’s human rights are respected and where women and girls have the right to participate fully and effectively in all of the decisions that affect their lives.” Atira provides many resources to women in the greater Vancouver community, such as long-term and transitional housing and shelter programs, legal advocacy, self-employment initiatives, and outreach to many under-served groups.
