Job Summary
The Videographer reports to the Assistant Manager of Videography.
We are looking for a talented videographer to assemble recorded footage into finished projects that match the organization’s vision, tell a cohesive story, and are suitable for posting.
No travel is required or expected for this position.
It is expected that the applicant independently has access to the equipment and programs necessary to produce high-quality video projects with captioning for accessibility. Software/hardware will not be provided by Random Acts.
Responsibities
- Create suitable videos in alignment with Random Acts Brand Guidelines by the appropriate deadlines based on briefs provided by the Multimedia Team.
- Ensure that Random Acts staff are informed of any concerns or problems that arise during your duties.
- Participate in weekly team meetings as often as possible, check email on a regular basis, and use our internal systems to provide status updates and share files.
- Keep abreast of and implement new editing technologies and industry best practices to maximize efficiency.
Desired Qualifications and Skills
- Proven work experience as a digital video editor with a compelling portfolio.
- Knowledgeable of timing, motivation, and continuity in video production.
- Some familiarity with special effects, 3D, and compositing.
- Excellent communicator and storyteller.
- Have capacity to store large video files temporarily until shared to Random Acts’ cloud storage.
- A degree in film studies, cinematography, or a related field is preferred.
This is a remote work position. Applicants must have regular and reliable access to the Internet as well as the motivation to dedicate their time to the organization.
The role is anticipated to take between 3-4 hours per week.
