The Random Acts Proposal Coordinator manages the approval of funding requests from Random Acts’ supporters. Reporting to the Acts Manager, they ensure that standard procedures are followed when reviewing applications, and that all requests are processed in a timely and organized manner. The Random Acts Proposal Coordinator is expected to provide flexibility and may be asked to collaborate with other departments within Random Acts, or support special events as needed.
Responsibilities
-  Move proposals for acts of kindness through the review process from beginning to end while following our Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
- Document each step of the review process on Podio software, and ensure all supporting materials are collected for approval and final reporting.
- Work with proposal applicants to resolve queries, communicate expected procedures, and otherwise facilitate the application process leading to final approval or non-approval.
- Follow up with approved acts of kindness to ensure accurate and timely final reporting.
- Ensure that the relevant staff are aware of proposed or ongoing acts.
- Work towards the timely review and process of each Act Proposal.
- Commit to following Random Acts policies for funding by a registered 501(c)(3) organization.
- Support the Acts Manager in communicating with other departments to ensure information is shared in a timely manner.
- Support the Random Acts team in the planning and organizing of special initiatives..
- Keep leadership informed of potential concerns.
- Participate in regular staff and departmental meetings.
- Collaborate with the rest of the team as needed.

- Tactful, creative and enthusiastic, with the ability to positively motivate others.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility concerning work schedule to accommodate evening and weekend meetings and events.
- Bachelor’s degree, or at least 1 year of experience working with budgets or in project management, preferably in the non-profit sector.
This role requires remote working. Applicants must have regular and reliable access to the internet, as well as the motivation to dedicate their time to the organization.
